B-Tek Rail Scales come in five models to allow weighing for a wide range of rail cars. Capacities range from 180,000 to 400,000 lbs. The weighbridge design is approved by the Association of American Railroads (AAR) and the American Railway Engineering Association (AREA).

Southwestern Scale "Sidewinder" Side Rail Truck Scale
A tough steel deck truck scale with a very low profile. This
scale is only 12 inches in height. Rather than have 24-30 inch high
concrete approaches to the scale, this low profile scale works best.
The side rails protect vehicle traffic and does not allow the
vehicle to drive off the scale deck. Perfect for MSHA applications
where a company could get a fine for having too high of a scale
deck.
A side rail package is not required with this scale. This saves up
to $2,500.
Another Feature is the number of load cells. There are only (6) load cells in this scale. Long term maintenance could be reduced by 25% compared to similar truck scales with 8 or 10 load cells.
Scale includes the weighbridge; (6)-65,000 pound capacity load cells; junction box; shim stock; load cell mounts; suspension cover plates; jacking plate and foundation end coping. Load cell warranty is 4 years from the date of shipment (overload, surge voltage, lightening, welding & submersion not included).
